RAINY GETAWAY

February 22, 2013
Start the week with a blast. We found a great deal to spend our Friday going places. We travel 10:00 pm of Thursday going to the pick up point in Greenbelt 1. Time of departure is exactly 2:00 am in the morning of Friday. We arrive at Greenbelt 1 at 12:00 midnight and spent the rest of the time at McDonald. It is a rainy night, we wish for a clear sky but the rain did not stop. There was no storm reported in the area but the weather did not cooperate. So yeah it is a rainy getaway. The travel time from Makati to Clark is quite long it took us 3-hrs to arrive at the venue, good thing there is no traffic. Our group is compose of families, group of friends and mostly couples since it is a post Valentine deal.
Check this out:

Destination 1: 18th Hot Air Balloon (Clark Pampanga)
"A weekend that everything flies. Flying. More fun in the Philippines"
This is the highlight of our tour. It is still dark and there is no sign of sun, still the rain is pouring. It is kinda hassle for us cause we cant go all the way to have fun and enjoy the tour because of the weather, we have to bring umbrellas and be cautious not to get wet and ruin our get up. The show starts at 6:00 am, because of the bad weather balloons cant fly, it is not a heavy rain but it drizzles. There are some balloons that they inflated for us to see and some pilots decided to fly. It is really not a good day to fly balloons that day but we were still thankful that we were able to see hot air balloons fly to the sky and just go where the winds will they blow. We were all excited to see the different kinds of balloons but the only balloons there where the regular ones, the one that we usually see in pictures the one that looks like a light bulb. If I am not mistaken there are 6 balloons that they inflated but there are only 3 balloons that decided to fly. Since flying on a bad weather is not safe, it is still within the decision of the pilot if it will take off or not. No rain can stop us to took a lot of photos, we actually made lots of selca (self camera: youre the one taking the picture and you're the subject as well kpop term ^__^) and by two's photo, so yeah we have umbrellas in all of our photos. There were also news team who is covering the event. We did not finish the event since we have to move on to our next destination at 9:00 am.

Destination 2: Dinosaur Island (Clark Pampanga)
Its like we were going on a field trip reminiscing our school days having this kind of educational travel, so mostly it is just about dinosaurs. We saw different kinds of Dinosaurs, feels like we travel back in time. The time were they live and reign. The replicas were big and moving so its fun looking and taking photos of it. The place is really nice too, you can really feel that you're in a forest surrounded by this big dinosaurs. At the end of the tour there were mascots of dinosaurs although we know that they were just mascots we really got scared of their costume we found it hard to pass that area cause they were chasing and teasing us. But the chasing is fun, we all laugh after we found the good timing to run. We were such a kid that time.

Destination 3: ZOOBIC Safari (Subic)
Before we went to our last destination we stop at Duty Free Puregold for lunch. The travel time from Clark to Subic is very far. The longest ever so far that I encounter. I learned that SCTEx is the longest express way in the Philippines (some trivia given by our tour guide). On our way we saw the Bat Kingdom, you can see it a long the road, the bats hang on trees and they are a lot, when i mean a lot it means thousands or more. On broad daylight bats sleeps so they hang on trees and actually from a far they looks like just the leaves, but you can still spot them cause of the black color. So we arrive at Zoobic Safari the highlight of this event is our close encounter with the tigers, like we were just two feet away from their cage. The smell is really bad, but we have to endure it. I was scared cause tigers were really big and a lot. The kid behind me is teasing the tigers so I am really sweating in cold since there is a sign that there is no taking photos with flash and no teasing the tigers, but the kid behind me is teasing the tigers, behind the kid is his father telling him not to tease them. I was like no don't do that for God sake on my mind. Cause if the tiger got mad I don't know what will happen, they have big scary teeth. We've seen lots of farm animals, crocodiles, snakes, turtles and many more. Also we are happy to see some of the dance of Aeta's.

With me is my friend Cris and her college friend Cathy. We did enjoy the whole day, even though its raining.
