Korean Cafe: Zoo Coffee in the Philippines

Themed cafes is not new and is a big hit now a days and there is always something exciting when you go inside a coffee shop who goes beyond and not just serving coffee and food.

Zoo Coffee is a chain of coffee shops in Korea. This shop become popular when it was used as the filming location of the Korean drama Innocent Man.
They just recently opened a branch here in the Philippines tucked inside Alphaland Makati. Zoo Coffee incorporates jungle motif in their decorations. Worry not as they do not have real animals only cute and cuddly stuffed animals, artificial trees and printed pillows.

Yours truly who is so into anything Korean did visit the cafe. Here is a look inside and outside the Zoo Coffee.

Location: This is very accessible and just around the corner of the bustling streets of Makati.Their address is G/F Alphaland Makati Place, Ayala Avenue Extension cor. Malugay Street, Bel-air, Makati. Landmark is the RCBC Plaza, Makati Golf Club and Lasema Spa (Korean Spa click here to know more)

Staff: They are accommodating and nice. I like how their uniform match the animal themed cafe.

Facilities: I love the animal displays especially the big giraffe in front of the cafe which reminds me of Kwang Soo (a comedian from the variety show Running Man, he was nicknamed giraffe because of his height). There a zebra prints on the walls, pillows, chairs and  cups. This unique animal themed cafe really pick my interest because of the cute stuffed animals and this is the first branch of this Korean cafe here in the Philippines. If you wanted to have a jungle themed afternoon this is the perfect place for you. It is not spacious inside but it is a great place to unwind and relax with a cup of coffee or tea. I only saw a few stuffed animals like hope they will add more.

Price: Compared to other coffee shops their food and beverages are in a very reasonable price which I can say is affordable and budget friendly.

Hot Almond Vanilla

Belgian Waffle
Food: I have only tried one of their best seller which is the Belgian waffle for dessert. For drinks we have the Hot almond vanilla and Cherry lime ade. The Belgian waffle is really delicious and big which you can share with a friend. They also offer a separate menu if you want anything Korean, like bingsu and ginseng tea. They also have sandwiches, hotdogs and pastries.
