Inflatable Island PH: Biggest Floating Playground in Asia

Not our typical Monday as we start the week playing at the biggest floating playground in Asia. Inflatable Island gathers attention all throughout SNS due to its colorful Bali inspired lounge and floating playground.

How to get there:

By public transportation

Ride a bus going to Olongapo City and alight at the last stop. Walk a few blocks and ride a blue jeep, just tell the driver to drop you off at Samba Bluewater Resort.

We know this place as Inflatable Island so we are kind of shocked when some locals there don't know the place if you ask them. Even some drivers don't know so better tell them that you need to go to Samba Bluewater Resort. Inflatable Island is leasing at this resort.

We ride the bus that departs from Pasay terminal at around 1:30AM. We arrive in Olongapo City at 4AM and decided to get some breakfast and stayed there for a while.

The resort opens at 8AM so we waited at the ticket booth area. When we got our day pass, we went straight to the receiving area for the orientation of safety rules and waiver signing. The day pass that we got is good for 2hrs of fun and play in the inflatable island and a whole day access to the resort. There are lesser crowd since it is a Monday which is totally okay for us. That means we can have the place for ourselves, less competitors at the playground.

Here are some of the rules that you need to follow:

1.Food is not allowed inside. Don’t worry you will not get hungry cause there are food available inside.

2.Life vest is available for all and must be worn when playing in the inflatable island. Return the life vest after use.

3.There are lockers for rent for your belongings safe keeping.

4.Cellphones, cameras, accessories and any pointed objects are not allowed in the inflatable island. The resort is not liable for any loss of your belongings.

5.There is a height requirement for children which is 3.5ft. children should be accompanied by adult, 1:1 ratio.

6.Must wear proper swim wear attire.

7.NO swimming under the inflatables

8.NO crowding, pushing, smoking, and under the influence of drug or alcohol.

Now that the rules have been discussed, we decided to touch up and change into our proper swim wear. Next thing, is we found ourselves under the shade of an umbrella and settled our things there. The first order of business is photos, yes we did take some photos first before heading to the playground. I decided not to play and just took photos for them since camera is not allowed in there. Super zoom just to get some shots. Turned out fine, I think. While waiting for them I decided to take a nap and just enjoyed the calming effects of the sea breeze and waves.

Some of the inflatables are down due to maintenance including the giant Gudetama, unicornzilla and the sunflower beds. There are only yellow and pink Bali inspired lounges plus the playground itself.

After playing and taking lots of photos we had our lunch. We order a feast meal which I guess can be consumed by four to six persons depending on the group's appetite. This meal is worth 799php and has variants of viands. Ordered a cold soda as well to relieve our thirst.

Here are some of the things we did notice during our stay:
In the website it says that it opens at 7AM however we arrived there before the said time only to wait for almost an hour. The booth opened past 7AM. Noticed that some inflatable have faded colors and design. I wonder how they maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the inflatables it's not on their best state when we got there. Probably because it's been used for a long period of time already and it's old. There are few trees in the area to protect you against the sun aside from the umbrellas so better put that sunscreen. Better bring a power bank to charge up your phone since charging area is not available unless you pay for 200php. The food I think is overpriced. Imagine a cup of cold iced tea worth 120php, for me that is too expensive. But if you are going in groups you can share food and that can lower your expenses.

Overall, we did have fun and had that must needed get away.
